Which Final Swarm leaderboard should I focus on?

Each leaderboard rewards a different playstyle:

LeaderboardBest forKey strategy
KillSolo playersEvery enemy you defeat counts fully toward your own total — no splitting with teammates
KeysProgression grindersSpend Keys on the skill tree first; only bank spare Keys after core upgrades are done
PlaytimeLong-session grindersLong sessions work, as long as play stays within Roblox’s rules and the game’s own policies

How do I climb the kill leaderboard?

The kill leaderboard is friendliest to solo play — every enemy you defeat counts fully toward your total instead of being split with teammates. Optimize for kills per wave: stack Multi-shot, Attack Speed and Projectile Count, and clear waves as fast as they spawn rather than surviving slowly. See our best upgrades guide for the damage build.

Why shouldn’t I hoard Keys for the Keys leaderboard?

The Keys leaderboard is the opposite of hoarding. Pour Keys into your skill tree first, and only start banking spare Keys once your important upgrades are done — permanent power gets you further than a stockpile. A bigger skill tree means longer runs, more kills, and eventually more Keys than hoarding ever would.

How do I climb the playtime leaderboard?

Long sessions are the playtime leaderboard’s whole game — just make sure your play stays within Roblox’s rules and the game’s own policies. Steady, consistent sessions beat sporadic marathons, and keeping the game smooth (see our settings guide) makes long runs survivable.

Does the skill tree help with every leaderboard?

Yes. The skill tree is the foundation under all three boards — it extends your runs (kills), produces more Keys (Keys board), and makes long sessions sustainable (playtime). Spend early Keys on the Damage node, then health and defense nodes, before gambling on chests. That order is the fastest path up every board.
